Caramel sauce and oreo frappucino

1 cup white sugar
¼ cup water
¾ cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons butter
pinch salt (optional)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (optional)
Pour 1 cup of white sugar into saucepan
Pour ¼ cup of water and have the sugar dissolve evenly
Do not mix, take a wet paper towel and clean any sugar on the saucepan walls to prevent crystallization
Heat pan to medium heat
Wait until the sugar starts to become transparent and all sugar is dissolved
Turn to medium high heat
Do not leave during this step
Have the sugar turn into a deep amber color
Take 4 tablespoons of sugar and add it to the saucepan
Once melted, take the saucepan off heat and immediately add the ¾ cup of heavy cream
Mix contents until bubbling subsides
½ tablespoon of vanilla and 2 pinches of salt will add extra flavor to your caramel
Let the caramel cool
Serve with desserts
Oreo Frappuccino Adapted from Starbucks Secret Menu Yield: 2 Servings
Ingredients: 8 ounces milk 1 cup ice 2 scoops vanilla bean ice cream 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips 1 tablespoon mocha syrup 1 Oreo Whipped cream Oreos, crushed Directions
In a blender add milk, ice, vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate chips, mocha syrup and an oreo.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and garnish with whipped cream and crushed oreo cookies.
